PMQs: Jeremy Corbyn gets to his feet to cheers in Commons

New Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has made his debut opposite David Cameron at Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons.

He began by addressing the issue of MPs' conduct during the weekly session.

He said that he wanted to change the format of PMQs, and that he had received thousands of questions from members of the public.

The prime minister said no-one would be more delighted than him if the weekly sessions became a "more genuine exercise", after he congratulated the new leader of the opposition.
