Lord Heseltine urges Tories to back David Cameron on Europe

Former deputy prime minister Lord Heseltine told the BBC's Andrew Marr the prime minister was "right" to renegotiate the issue of immigration with Europe.

And he said David Cameron was "more likely to be successful in doing it, if the people with whom he's negotiating with, think he has the backing of the party he leads".

The prime minister has been seeking support in Europe for his plan to renegotiate the UK's membership, before holding an in-out referendum.
