David Cameron: EU talks 'require patience'

David Cameron has said he is determined to reform Britain's relationship with the EU as he begins discussions with other European leaders on his plans.

Mr Cameron met EU leaders for the first time since his election victory at a summit in Latvia on Friday.

Speaking at a news conference he emphasised that reform "will take time".

The prime minister will host European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at Chequers on Monday.
