Rochester and Strood: Lib Dem supporters 'voted Tory' - Farron

The Liberal Democrat president, Tim Farron, says many of his party's voters in Rochester and Strood voted Conservative to try to keep UKIP out.

The Liberal Democrat candidate, Geoff Juby, lost his deposit after winning just 349 votes - the lowest total for the party in a by-election.

Mr Farron says many Liberal Democrats in the seat chose to vote tactically.
