Mark Reckless wins UKIP's second Westminster seat

The UK Independence Party's Mark Reckless has won the Rochester and Strood by-election, giving the party a second seat at Westminster.

Mr Reckless triggered the vote when he resigned as a Conservative MP and defected to UKIP.

Speaking after the announcement he said: "You hired me again, you remain my boss, don't let me forget it."
