May defends government's foreign offender deportation measures

Home Secretary Theresa May has defended government measures to tighten up on the appeal process open to foreign national offenders (FNOs) facing deportation.

She faced an urgent question in the Commons from her Labour shadow Yvette Cooper, who accused the government of falling short.

It follows a report from the National Audit Office saying too few criminals are being deported.
