PM David Cameron defends plan to freeze benefits

The prime minister has been defending the Conservatives' plans to freeze some working-age benefits if they win the next election, despite criticism from welfare groups.

Mr Cameron said it was only fair that benefits should not rise faster than the earnings of many workers.
