Jowell: Harman 'consistent' in opposition to PIE

Harriet Harman and Jack Dromey were "completely consistent" in their opposition to the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), Dame Tessa Jowell has said.

Her comments follow Ms Harman's expression of "regret" for her involvement in a civil liberties group that had links to pro-paedophile campaigners in the 1970s.

Speaking to the Today programme, Dame Tessa Jowell stated that Ms Harman "wasn't chasing wacky causes in the 1970s", but was instead focusing on issues such as equal pay and domestic violence.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 26 February.
