European Union migrant cap plan illegal, says Nick Clegg

Nick Clegg has said an annual cap of 75,000 EU immigrants into Britain would be illegal.

The deputy prime minister said such a move would be a "disaster for the economy" and bring "tit-for-tat" actions by other member states.

Home Secretary Theresa May has refused to comment on reports that a review by her department proposed the limit.
