Andrew Mitchell owed 'plebgate' apology, says Cameron

Andrew Mitchell is "owed an apology" by police over the 'plebgate' row, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.

Speaking during Prime Minister's Questions, Mr Cameron said the conduct of officers from the Police Federation towards the former minister was "not acceptable".

He was responding to a question from Home Affairs Select Committee chairman Keith Vaz.
