Andrew Marr wife Jackie Ashley on husband's recovery

The wife of the BBC journalist Andrew Marr has spoken about the "frightening" concept that he could have been left seriously brain damaged after a round of treatment.

Marr, 53, spent two months in hospital after suffering a stroke in January this year.

His wife Jackie Ashley told BBC Radio 5 live's Richard Bacon: "It was a possibility that was more frightening than dying... because for someone like Andrew, it would have been absolutely catastrophic."
