Daily Politics mood box: public view of MP salary rises

MPs do not get to choose their pay these days, but the independent body that looks at their salaries and expenses is proposing a 9% pay rise from 2015.

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority is also recommending cuts to perks, such as meal allowances and taxis, and a less generous pension scheme.

Giles Dilnot took the Daily Politics mood box - an unscientific method with a box and coloured balls - to see what the man and woman on the street - including Tory MP Mark Field - thought of the issue.

More mood box films from 2012, 2011 and 2010.
