NHS England: GP funding and privatisation claims
Some people are receiving health services in England paid for by the NHS but provided by private companies, as GPs begin to buy services for their patients.
The changes, which led to divisions in the coalition and met with opposition from some doctors, have been rolled out since April.
Adam Fleming reports on the disputed claims over competition in health services, and how patients are - or will be - starting to see changes.
He spoke to Colin Campbell of Specsavers, Prof Lindsey Davies of the Faculty of Public Health, and Julia Manning of the 2020 Health thinktank.
