Football changes 'not fast enough' says David Davies
Changes in football are "not coming fast enough", said a former executive director of the Football Association.
David Davies said he did not think that immediate changes were likely, and admitted football bosses had failed to come together and agree one list of priorities, but said the sport was more successful than 25 years ago,
He spoke after the Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee told English football it must introduce reforms within a year, or it would ask the government to impose changes.
MPs highlighted financial management, the balance of power between the Premier League and the Football Association, and the impact of significant risk-taking by owners.
