Hours of Lords: Peers reject Commons' boundary reform

Peers have voted to block the reduction in the number of MPs in the House of Commons by 50, calling for a delay until a boundary review in 2018.

The prime minister wanted the change in time for the 2015 general election, but Liberal Democrats have withdrawn their support for the bid.

Speakers in Monday's debate included Labour's Lord Hart, Conservative Lord Forsyth, Conservative Lord Dobbs, Liberal Democrat Lord Rennard, Conservative Lord King and Labour's Lord Lipsey.
