Leveson Report: Coalition split over legislation

Coalition leaders David Cameron and Nick Clegg have openly disagreed in Parliament over the Leveson Report's recommendations for a tougher new regulatory body for the press.

Mr Cameron backed the principles behind the report but said he has "serious misgivings" about the need for a legislation-backed watchdog, while Mr Clegg said such an organisation was both "proportionate and workable".

Meanwhile Labour called the 2,000-page report "measured" and backed its conclusions "unequivocally".

Nick Robinson reports.
