Is Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell still on his way out?

Andrew Mitchell is still in his job as the Conservative party's chief whip, responsible for maintaining party discipline, despite reports of a brush with the police in Downing Street.

The PM and senior officers have said a line should be drawn under the matter, but pressure on Mr Mitchell continues.
