Boris Johnson re-elected London mayor for second term

Boris Johnson has been re-elected as the Mayor of London after a close fight with his Labour rival Ken Livingstone.

He will now serve another four-year term in charge of the city.

He polled 51.5 percent of the vote compared to Ken Livingstone's 48.5 percent - a winning margin of 3%.

Mr Johnson has dismissed suggestions of a return to the Commons in 2015, a year before his term as Mayor ends.

Gary O'Donoghue reports.
