Lord Archer on 'farcical' rules of Royal succession
Lord Archer says the rules of Royal succession are "farcical" and explains how he tried to introduce a bill allowing for princesses to inherit the throne ahead of a younger brother.
He said "My bill is still there for them to pick up", and it could be passed with just a few hours of Parliament's times, and doubted anyone would vote against it.
He was speaking with the Local Government Association's Margaret Eaton who said it was not top of the list of priorities and it could be less straight forward than Lord Archer suggests.
