Boris Johnson won't accept 'Kosovo-style social cleansing'
London Mayor Boris Johnson has said he will not accept "Kosovo-style social cleansing" of the capital due to a government cap on housing benefits.
Prime minister David Cameron said he did not agree with Mr Johnson's view, or the words he had used. The reforms mean limiting the amount paid in benefits according to the size of a property.
Mr Johnson, speaking to Vanessa Feltz on BBC London Radio, denied he and Mr Cameron were at war and insisted he and the government were in negotiations over how to ensure the reforms did not hit poor families.
