Daily Politics poll: 52% back government spending cuts

More than half the people polled for the Daily Politics backed the government's spending cuts.

The ComRes poll, conducted the day after George Osborne had given his statement to the Commons, found that 13% strongly supported the cuts while 39% supported them.

Twenty four per cent of those polled opposed the cuts and 15% were strongly opposed.

Jo Coburn discusses the findings with David Wooding from the News of the World, and John Kampfner, chief executive of Index on Censorship.
