TUC to call for demos against cuts

Trade Union leaders are promising that the campaign against government spending cuts could become as passionate as the opposition to the poll tax.

The TUC is calling for people to take to the streets in protest against job losses.

The TUC leader, Brendan Barber, says unions will join forces with the wider community to argue for alternatives to spending cuts of more than 25%.

John Moylan reports.
