'Painful, unpopular decisions' ahead

Nick Clegg has warned there are difficult decisions to be made, in a speech looking ahead to the government's Spending Review.

The deputy prime minister said Britain's economic recovery must be viewed as a long-term plan, which meant decisions which were "in the short term difficult, painful, unpopular".
