Ardoyne feeder parade passes without incident

A stand-off between loyalists and republicans in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast has ended.

It began shortly after an Orange Order feeder parade in the area dispersed without incident.

For the fourth successive year the Parades Commission had ruled the parade could not walk along a contentious section of the route on the Crumlin Road.

As BBC News NI's home affairs correspondent Vincent Kearney reports, it was a much smaller parade than in previous years.
