Dublin to mark 100th anniversary of 1916 Easter Rising

Commemorations will take place across Ireland marking the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising - the rebellion against British rule that was a key moment in the history of modern Ireland.

There will be ceremonies at historic sites across Dublin, with more than half a million people expected to attend the main event on Sunday.

Chris Buckler reports.
