PSNI 'deeply concerned' at dissident threat in Northern Ireland

Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin has said the police are "deeply concerned" by the current threat, saying there are dissident republican groupings who want to mark the Easter Rising anniversary in an "entirely sinister way".

He added that the groups want to "kill police officers, prison officers or soldiers".

On Friday, a prison officer was taken to hospital after a bomb exploded under a van in east Belfast.
