Councils set to receive new planning powers

The 11 new district councils are to set to take more control over local decisions when they take over in April 2015.

Potentially, though, the most controversial move will be putting politicians in charge of all but the most significant planning decisions.

As BBC News NI Political Editor Mark Devenport investigates, there were controversies in the 1960s when councils had responsibility for housing.
