Pope Francis election welcomed in Northern Ireland

Church figures and lay people in Northern Ireland have welcomed the election of Pope Francis as the new head of the Catholic Church.

Catholic Bishop Donal McKeown said he hoped the new Pope would help the Church to begin a "new chapter".

The Church of Ireland and Methodist church also welcomed his appointment.
