The court battle for King Richard III's remains

A judicial review is to be held on the final resting place for the remains of King Richard III.

The remains of the king, who died in battle in 1485, were discovered by archaeologists under a car park in Leicester in September last year.

Richard III was the last Yorkist king and had many connections with York and the north of England.

The Plantagenet Alliance favours reburial in York and has won a judicial review on Tuesday challenging a decision for his bones to be reinterred in Leicester.
