Harrogate tree turned into Tour de France sculpture

A dead tree in Harrogate has been carved into a sculpture to mark the visit of the Tour de France to the town next year.

The elm tree, located outside the famous Betty's tea room, is believed to be more than 100 years old.

Artist Mick Burns is using a chainsaw to transform the stump into an artwork celebrating the cycle race and Yorkshire.
