Ofsted criticism of Swindon's schools 'dangerous'

Swindon's head teachers have been left angered and annoyed by a letter - published by education inspectors - which criticised school standards in the town.

In the letter, Ofsted said pupils were being failed at every level by schools and urged "all involved" to unite so pupils could get the "education they deserve".

But Gary Evans, chair of Swindon Association of Primary Headteachers and head of Ferndale Primary School, said it was "not a full picture" and "not the correct picture".
