Swindon teachers 'very upset' over damning Ofsted letter

Teachers and education workers in Swindon have been left "very upset" by a damning letter from Ofsted, the leader of Swindon Borough Council said.

Children in the town are being failed "at every level" and the schools are a "cause for serious concern", Ofsted's regional director for the South West wrote.

Cllr David Renard told BBC Wiltshire's Dan O'Brien the council was surprised to receive the letter and "most if not all" teachers would take exception to it.
