Sparrowhawk spends three days in South Tyneside sports hall

A bird of prey took up temporary residence in a South Tyneside sports hall.

The Sparrowhawk, nicknamed Jack, spent three days in the rafters of Monkton Stadium.

Soft toys, paper and a Harris Hawk were used to try and lure the bird out of the hall, which eventually escaped into nearby woodland.
