Newcastle catering firm 'selling legal highs'

A BBC investigation has found a Newcastle catering company is selling nitrous oxide as a recreational drug rather than for whipping cream as advertised.

Toon Whip states on his website that the product is not to be inhaled, yet an undercover reporter was shown how to breathe it in by a delivery driver.

Nitrous oxide - or laughing gas - is the party drug of choice for many students and, while not illegal, has been linked to a number of deaths.

There are widespread calls for it to be banned.
