Caitlin Ruddy death: Mother warns of sea dangers

The mother of a 15-year-old girl who died when she was swept into the sea in North Tyneside has warned other people about the dangers of the water.

The teenager was on the north pier at Cullercoats with some friends and was swept into the rough water on Saturday night.

A search was launched involving a lifeboat, Coastguard search and rescue helicopter and police.

Caitlin's mother, Sabrina Cook visited the scene and warned others to beware of the dangers of the sea.
