Tickets on sale for Bishop Auckland open-air history shows

Tickets for a series of historical "performances" staged in the County Durham countryside have gone on sale.

Kynren: an epic tale of England will be performed by hundreds of volunteers at 14 separate summer shows opening in July next year.

The site for the performances, in the fields beneath Bishop Auckland viaduct, are being transformed into a giant staging area, in a project costing £31m

Hundreds of volunteers, like Debora Wilson, have already signed up to take part and Eleven Arches chief executive Anne-Isabelle Daulon said the response has been overwhelming
