Parade marks 39 Regiment Royal Artillery's farewell

One of the North East's Army regiments has said a public farewell to the town which has been its base for the past 19 years.

The 39 Regiment Royal Artillery has operated from Albemarle Barracks, Harlow Hill, since 1995 but it will cease to exist from next year.

A parade through Hexham was staged on Saturday to mark its disbanding.
