Calls to secure Newhaven to Dieppe ferry's future

Calls are being made for more to be done to secure the long-term future of the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry service.

The contract to run the service from East Sussex expires at the end of this year, with no extension yet agreed.

The French-owned service, run by DFDS Seaways, employs about 1,000 workers.

South East Today's Juliette Parkin spoke to Rod Main, a Lib Dem councillor on Lewes District Council.
