Sudbury farmer's kiss-of-life for lamb

A farmer has spoken of the "extraordinary experience" of saving a lamb's life by giving it the kiss-of-life.

Stephen Cobbald, of Acton Hall, near Sudbury in Suffolk, was checking his flock late on Tuesday evening when he found the ewe was lying on top of the lamb and it had stopped breathing.

He gave about five repeat cycles of kiss of life and massaging its heart.

He said: "After about five minutes, blow me if he didn't pick his head up and he's now running around the yard like nothing happened to him."
