Blundeston Prison closure to be challenged in High Court

Plans to close a prison in Suffolk are to be challenged in the High Court, the BBC has discovered.

The government announced in September that HMP Blundeston near Lowestoft, in Suffolk, was to close by the end of the year because it needed costly modernisation.

Now lawyers are to argue the decision was based on out-of-date and inaccurate information.
