Aldeburgh Festival: Archbishop of Canterbury service guest

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, will preach as guest of honour at the opening service of the Aldeburgh Festival in Suffolk.

Celebrating the centenary of composer Benjamin Britten, the service at St Peter and St Paul church, Aldeburgh, begins at 10:30 BST and will feature Britten's Missa Brevis, sung by the choristers of King's College Cambridge.

The archbishop said he was "honoured" to participate in the festival service at Britten's home church.
