Dying patient's video message to the NHS after her 'undiagnosed' cancer

The family of Patricia Whitehouse, who died on Tuesday, have released a video of her saying she'd been failed by the NHS.

Mrs Whitehouse, 62, from Stoke-on-Trent, was suffering from spine cancer which her relatives have claimed went undiagnosed for months.

In the video she describes waiting on a trolley for eight hours at Royal Stoke University Hospital A&E.

Following her death, Paula Clark, chief executive of the hospital trust said: "I have asked for an immediate investigation to take place into the care Mrs Whitehouse received and we will support Mrs Whitehouse's family as this takes place."
