Could a white bag on a stick save deer and motorists?

White bags have been placed on top of roadside posts at a Staffordshire beauty spot to try to prevent motorists crashing into deer.

The idea, which comes from America, is being tried out on Cannock Chase where the number of deer killed by cars has risen in recent years.

Being hit by cars is the major cause of death among wild deer.
