Wire stunt in Sheffield promotes outdoor adventures

An adventure athlete has crossed a 196ft (60m) wire between two towers in her home town of Sheffield to promote outdoor activities in the area.

Sarah Rixham - the current world-record holder for the longest female highline, set at 394ft (120m) over the mountains in Moleson, Switzerland - performed the stunt to mark the opening of the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival.

The challenge involved the 25-year-old walking between two Sheffield Hallam University buildings.
