Sea Vixen lands without wheels at RNAS Yeovilton

This is the moment a pilot performed an emergency landing at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, in Somerset.

The incident, on 27 May, was filmed by two enthusiasts who witnessed the last-remaining Sea Vixen plane experience a failure with its landing gear.

Cdr Simon Hargreaves performed an emergency 'wheels-up' landing and was able to escape the cockpit immediately, unhurt.

The retired plane is currently operated by Fly Navy Heritage Trust Navy Wings.
