Hedgehog watching 'makes you happy', health debate told

The Conservative MP for Taunton Deane has told Parliament she got "terribly excited" recently when she saw a hedgehog eating her cat food.

Rebecca Pow was addressing a backbench debate on health inequality when she said watching the prickly creatures, as well as birds and plants, growing can be "so beneficial" in combating health inequality.

During the debate she urged ministers to look at "green treatments" saying the natural world was underused in tackling obesity and helping to improve physical and mental health.
