Family rebuild their house after horror lorry smash

Nigel Hewitt-Cooper was lucky to escape with his life when a lorry ploughed into his house earlier this year.

He suffered six broken ribs after becoming trapped under his desk at the family home in West Pennard near Glastonbury when the vehicle collided with an exterior wall, crumpling the inside of the house.

His wife braved the wreckage to pull him to safety.

Six months on the house has now been almost entirely rebuilt and the family is putting the horror of the accident behind them.
