University of Bath scientists explore using yeast to make oil

Scientists in Bath claim to have found a way to replace one of the world's most controversial fuels with oil made from yeast.

The team has been given a £4m grant to see if their new biotechnology can work on an industrial scale.

If it does, huge rainforests could be saved.

BBC Points West's business correspondent Dave Harvey has been to meet biotechnologist Dr Chris Chuck and international development analyst Dr Roy Maconachie, both of Bath University.
