Villagers in Beckley rally to save historic pub

Villagers are being urged to put their money where their mouth is to help buy a 300-year-old pub - one of the few pubs left for miles around.

The Abingdon Arms in Beckley, south of Oxford, has been put up for sale by its current owners.

Government rules mean the community has first refusal to take it over, if they can raise more than half a million pounds in time.

The group has raised £330,000 so far and has two months left to raise the remainder.
