Mum of drowned teen 'can't understand' trust boss actions

The mother of teenager Connor Sparrowhawk said she "will never understand' why Katrina Percy did not step down earlier.

The 18-year-old died at Oxford's Slade House while in the care of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. An inquest ruled his death was partly down to neglect.

Ms Percy, the trust's embattled chief executive, announced her resignation earlier, blaming media attention.

Now Connor's mother Sara Ryan has criticised her for not taking responsibility for the trust's failings.
